School performance in national tests

END OF KEY STAGE 1

Year 2 results significantly increased from 2016.   Results are now above national in every area.  Results in each area have improved by around 10% since last year in every area for children achieving age related expectations.

STRONG SCORES

We are particularly proud of our improvement in writing results.  The percentage of children achieving greater depth is more than four times greater than last year (7% - 30%, which is signficantly above national).  Writing is now in line with greater depth scores for reading and maths in Year 2.  We think this is because our talking, drama and storyboarding work (which we introduced at the end of 2017) has really helped our children to write with more confidence.

END OF KEY STAGE 2

Our average scaled score is above national in all areas, and the highest the school has achieved in 3 years.  It is important to note that the scores below include absences, and other exceptional circumstances, which in some cases provided a score of zero for pupils who would have normally reached aged related expectations.

Within year, our Year sixes made very good progress.  The results below differ slightly from published results as they do not reflect pupil absence from the tests.

IN SCHOOL DATA

In writing, the children achieving age related expectations increased by 10% compared to the previous year and is now significantly above national.   It is important to note that the scores below include absences, and other exceptional circumstances, which in some cases provided a score of zero for pupils who would have normally reached aged related expectations.  This means that DFE published data is slightly lower than in school data.  Our In school data is in blue.
