WE REMEMBER MARTIN LUTHER KING

Today in assembly we learned about the Martin Luther King's impact on America in the 1960s.  We also learnt a little about the Green Book, a travel book produced by Victor Hugo Green, that helped African Americans to travel safely and find places to seek hospitality during the time of Jim Crow's segregation laws.  If you want to know more about the Green Book, I would highly recommend a children's book entitled 'Ruth and the Green Book' by Calvin Alexander Ramsey.  It explains how useful the book was from the point of view of a child.  This film clip will tell you more about Martin Luther King's life...
