FOOD FOR LIFE ADVISOR, VALERIE MEEHAN, GIVES HIGH PRAISE FOR WILLOWS STAFF
Towards the end of last year, Amy Parish, Year 4 teacher (and Willows pantomime director!) took up the challenge of leading our school on a journey to achieving a 'Food for Life' accreditation. This looks at every aspect of school life, and how healthy food and a knowledge of what we eat can make a positive difference on children, their families and their school. It involves not only eating food, but growing, cooking and carefully teaching about it. We have regular visits from Valerie Meehan, our Food for life advisor who commented, "It is always a pleasure to work with the willows. They are a committed and gifted staff team, who always go that extra mile and the results speak for themselves. “ We are comfortably achieving the bronze award, and are considering whether we should already aim for silver.
