As the wind blusters against the panes, the leaves swirl and gather on our pathways and the rain thunders on our roof, teachers and children at The Willows are using this inspiration to create their winter literature sets around the school building. On Tuesday 4th December, parents are invited to pop in and see these displays from 2.30pm onwards. Visitors who do not yet have children in our school but who might be interested in finding out more about the Willows will be invited to visit from 3.30pm onwards.
The initiative of Reading for Pleasure can be seen in every classroom and every space in the school. Over the last two weeks, four authors have visited Key Stage One and Two, leaving the children inspired to discover more about their books and to think about becoming writers themselves.
Our Key Stage 1 Lending Library will now become a stable. Children will be able to sit right inside the stable when they are reading their books.
