Welcome to Panthers Class

A note from Mrs Parish and Ms Smith…
Welcome to Year 4T Panthers! Our aim this year is to inspire, enthuse and create exciting learning opportunities. Our main topic this term is Roman Britain, during which we will be using our historical detective skills to learn about the Romans and their lasting impact on Britain. At the end of the topic we will be re-enacting a Roman battle. In Maths we will be studying and improving our skills in place value, fractions, Roman Numerals, addition and subtraction. We will also be practising and becoming experts in our multiplication tables up to 12 x 12. In English, we are studying the Roman myth ‘Romulus and Remus’ and we will be using the historical novel ‘Roman Invasion’ to enhance our creative writing.
Spellings and timetables are being set weekly for the children to learn. We also have an interclass reading challenge to see which class can read the most words each term.
You can stay up to date with what we’re doing by following us on Twitter @Panthersclass.
